okay, i’ll bite (again)… i was stationed in iceland for awhile but never picked up much of the nordic languages. is there an “english” tab on your website link that i didn’t find?
…scot…
I didn’t see one either. I used Google translate, which sometimes worked pretty well, sometimes not so well. You type “translate Norwegian to English” to Google, and then you copy-and-paste a paragraph at a time from the article to the Norwegian window. It butchers the title of the article pretty badly, but after that it gets a little better.

Given that the slates are not due to be filed until July 3 waiting would appear to be wise.
IIRC, he pretty much stayed out of the last election campaign. He isn’t about cook his own goose. But, given the lack of corporate sponsorship money in chess at his level, other than from Russian oligarchs and their companies, he might be wise to work for someone like Short who could help FIDE recover some of its credibility.
