Changes to TD/A Demographic Queries Tool

Several changes have been made recently to the demographic query tool in the TD/Affiliate Support Area.

The code for selecting by member/affiliate type has been rewritten to be somewhat faster. The ability to select/skip non-member subscribers has also been added. (Few subscribers give us email addresses, but this makes the selection process clearer as well as faster.)

However, it is still true that if you want to send an email blast to players based on their rating or title, their recent activity or having played in specific events as well as to affiliates, you should create a separate query for the affiliates, because affiliates don’t have ratings or titles and don’t play in tournaments.

A checkbox for selecting players with FIDE Candidate Master or Women’s Candidate Master titles has been added. The ability to select players who have earned the USCF National Master designation has been improved and checkboxes have been added for selecting players who have earned the OLM designation and each of the USCF norms-based titles:
Senior Life Master
Life Master
Candidate Master
Category 1 Player
Category 2 Player
Category 3 Player
Category 4 Player

Another demographic breakdown has been added, Metropolitan Areas. This will enable you to see what metro areas (using the OMB metropolitan/micropolitan definitions) players are in, which may help when trying to plan events or when trying to reach players in specific metro areas. Players who don’t live in a recognized metropolitan/micropolitan area are shown by state.
