Chess Life Endgame Column

I apologize in advance if there has been some sort of announcement that I missed, but what happened to Daniel Naroditsky’s end game column in Chess Life ? It has not been published for a few months.

As a follow up for this question, I sent an email to John Hartmann, the Chess Life Editor, inviting him to post an update on the status of the endgame column here in the forums.

The Chess Life columns are an excellent source of high quality instructional material and I would hate to see them discontinued.

I am pleased to report that John Hartmann responded to my email almost immediately. The question concerning the endgame column was discussed in the May issue Editor’s Letter. Daniel Naroditsky has decided to move on to other projects. John went on to say that the intention is to find another author for the column, but the current cash crunch due to COVID-19 will delay this effort.

I am very impressed with John’s quick and frank response.

It really was a great column and a worthy successor to Benko’s!
