In the US do chess events ever get broadcasted on television? If so, I would like to know.
Very rarely, though ESPN2 did one of the Kasparov vs The Machine matches several years back, and from what we were told got excellent ratings for a middle of the week afternoon event.
There are a few on local-access cable channels. You might be able to find some on YouTube.
