Notice some tournaments (National Open) are advertised as having +30 second increments. Does this mean that 30 seconds is added to your clock AFTER you move or does it mean there will be a 30 second countdown before your clock starts running once it is your turn to move. Anyone have any information on this?
Delay means your clock doesn’t start until the specified number of seconds are counted down. Increment means it is added to your clock each move.
Think of delay and increment as “non-cumulative addback” and “cumulative addback”, respectively.
