I can’t answer either question, answer might not be available until monday,
It would be nice if there was some sort of timestamp on these. It is impossible to tell if the ratings that were up Nov 29 are the same as Nov 30 are the same as Dec 1. Which leads to my next question: did you guys need to swap out the files since the 29th?
The file inside the ZIP file should have a timestamp, but with the multiple files this month keeping track has been a challenge. That shouldn’t be an issue in the future.
I can ask them to include a readme file with a timestamp for when the DBF or TSV file was generated, but maybe it also needs to have a data timestamp, something like:
Supplement data timestamp xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx supplement file timestamp yyyyyyyyyyyy
Might want to think about a release number in case the files are generated more than once.
Looking at the supplement database records, they were created at about 2PM CT on 11/27 (Thursday). I do not believe there are plans to redo the supplement generation, but further corrections to the current set of files may be needed.
I don’t think there’s any place in the DBF data structure for a full timestamp.
I suppose we could add that to the header record in the allplayers tab file, but that might mess up programs that don’t expect that information to be present.
The MUIR system runs on UTC not CST or CDT, so I have to remember to subtract 6 hours from timestamps on it.
