Floating and rounding ratings?

Player ID: 32489207 JULIAN DOUGLAS RODRIGUEZ
has a November Supplement rating of 1040. This both on the old MSA:

and the new MUIR site

But… in his last event (202510130412) he finished with a rating of 1039.

Even checking on the old MSA site, displaying the floating point calculations he goes from 32489207 / R: 988.23P7 ->1039.44P11

still not over 1039.5 for a traditional rounding up.

1040 was the rating a month ago, 1039 s the december rating.

This is what I show for the rating at the time of the November supplement:

2 1039.5021961109 2025-10-16 01:22:54.418873

It went down below 1039.5 on 10/22.

I am not sure we will have access to the post-event rating for each rerate of an event of Leago. A rerate tends to generate millions of data records and they take up a lot of storage space, which isn’t free.

I have been inactive over the board for several years.

How does my November 2025 regular supplement rating go from 1978 to 1977 for December 2025 ??

Also even better is how does November 2025 quick supplement rating go from 1903 to 1880 for December 2025??

We found some database errors and programming errors and did a very large rerate in late October. Some people saw a small change in their regular ratings, quick ratings might have seen larger changes because one of the errors had to do with how they were initialized.

I asked the senior staff if they wanted to post a public notice of this, they said no. :sigh:
