What happens when you set someone as a “Friend” or a “Foe”?
“Foe” messages will not appear in the forum thread. You get a little message that asks if you want to display a message and you can choose to either read it or keep on scrolling. (Note: It doesn’t help if someone later quotes that person.)
I don’t know what Friend does, even though I have many on my list that regularly post. But if is helpful for sending a quick PM.

I think the only purpose for a ‘friend’ setting may be to reverse a ‘foe’ setting.
