Does anyone know how to remove the cover/back from an Excalibur Game Time II clock? There is an annoying rattle inside my Game Time clock, which I assume is a loose wercs (spelled backward; talk about a nanny filter…)
I cannot figure out how to get at the innards of the thing—and don’t want to test the limits of my limited mechanical skill without guidance. There is nothing in the clock’s user’s guide about this, as far as I can see.
You have to pry off the bottom four feet - they’re just held on with sticky but not permanent glue. Try not to touch the sticky part, or let them stick onto another surface while they are off, because it will weaken their holding power for later. There 4 small swercs, one under each of those foot pads, with phillip’s head grooves. Once they are out, you can lift the top half of the outer case straight up off of the base. The batteries will fall out the back, because their compartment can’t stay closed without the top. Good luck fixing your unit (and if it just happens to be broken in a way that you can’t fix, don’t throw it away, because someone else might be able to use it for spare parts.)
Oh, also be careful not to lose the 4 adjustment buttons that are in line right above the 2 plungers - they are completely loose after the top case is removed.
