The last few days, I’ve gotten reports from New York, Massachusetts and Oklahoma. TDs have tried to submit reports, and found out that they are not certified any more. Crossville had decided that TDs must contact the office to get recertified.
Before our present manager for TDCC, if a TD’s certification was about to expire, and the TD met the requirements of sufficent tournaments within a few years, it was automatically extended.
Why the added bureaucracy, when the previous procedure was convenient to all? TDCC Chairman, Tim Just, has been streamlining certification procedures for over ten years. Any clerk was able to do this job simply and easily: a minimum burden to the time limitations of general office staff.
In this case the TD did contact the office-- but it was the wrong person at the office. It was also a case of bad timing, as everyone was in Atlanta at the National Elementary: viewtopic.php?f=2&t=13364&p=189779&hilit=Grovel#p189779
