iPad apps

What chess app would you recommend for use on an iPad. I would like to easily use/import pgn files.

Thanks for your input.

I don’t know about its availability for the ipad, but the “Analyze This Pro” app for Android is quite powerful. It reads pgn, can save any new moves you add and has Stockfish built in for analysis. The graphics are excellent also. The pro version with no ads cost $5.00. It works flawlessly on my Amazon Fire HD 10.

It looks like there is an ‘Analyze This’ app in the Apple store, by the same developer, but it may not have been updated as recently as the Android version and it doesn’t appear to have a pro (no-ads) version.

I checked the Amazon app store and they only listed the ad version also. It looks the same and would be worth trying out. There may be an upgrade offer to pro. I do recommend this app for looking at pgn collections of famous tournaments or players. You can run through a lot of games very quickly, or analyze them as deep as you want. Navigation is very easy and it comes back to where you were when you turn it off.
