The memorial will be a “very informal” gathering of Isaac’s friends from Lawson and elsewhere.

This news comes as a complete shock to me. I last saw him just recently, at a blitz round-robin at the Evanston chess club. He won our game, of course.
Isaac was a little rough around the edges, but in a way that invariably amused and entertained everybody in the room, and allowed us all to see his inner heart of gold.
