Mueller is in his endgame for sure. But as many know in chess, that can last for a while.
Robert Mueller has shown that he is a strategical thinker in the way the investigation and cases are used to surround the main target. The target lashes out like a coffeehouse player attempting to intimidate with his moves that are often bluffs. Likely we are just entering into the middlegame. As more of the main target’s pieces (family, business associates) fall off the board, the endgame will not be pretty. That is, if the game is played to completion. Like all small children who are losing, I expect the President to flip the board. Whether he and the Republican Party are allowed to play anymore is an open question. They are not very good at chess (governance). Because they cheat so much, the American arbiters, the voters, may forfeit them in November. As Trump usually says, “We will see.” The clock is ticking.
