Membership Cards

I just processed a new member, but I could no longer find where I could print them a temporary membership card. Has that function been removed from the web site?? The temporary card was always useful for if the person played in an event prior to receiving their information [card] from the USCF, and it served as a receipt for the membership as well.

How did you process the membership? The membership webstore prints a temporary membership card as part of the receipt page, the membership module on TD/A has the option to print cards, which as far as I know still works. As I recall (not having processed a membership in some time), you go to the membership batch select page and that’s where you get the option to print cards.

For all practical purposes, once the membership is processed it immediately shows up as active in MSA. You can just do a player/rating lookup to show it.

I did the membership through the MSA with my affiliate. That is where I was looking for the ability to print a temporary membership card. I thought I recalled that you could print a temp card, but did not see it. I did you the email I received from the USCF to provide a receipt to the player. I always thought the temp card was a wonderful tool, but it appears to now be missing from the affiliate membership processing.

If you go back into the “Memberships” link in the TD/Affiliate page (secure2.uschess.org/TD_Affil/mem_batch.php), at the bottom it will show the status of your most recent membership batches. There is a button to the right saying “Display temporary membership cards”.
