no ability to rate matches?

Feb. 19-20-21 OCF Winter NAO FIDE Open GPP Oklahoma . Is there any possibility this tournament will be rated for the April Supplement? It hasn’t been rated apparently because of an inability to rate a match which occurred along side the tournament between Yury Shulman and Aleks Wojtkiewicz. Will this system issue be rectified in time? It seems the tournament should be rated seperate from the match anyway as the match result of 6 draws at best will result in a 1 point gain for Shulman and it doesn’t seem that the rating of the other 44 players should be held up by that 1 rating point for Shulman.

Thanks for any info,

Shaun

I expect to have matches and round robin tables working again on Saturday.

The new system was also designed to support double-round-robin events, but they probably won’t be available for a few weeks.

Nolan:

With the matches, how many rounds can be placed into a one section match? Under the old rating system, only 20 rounds could be rated in a one section match.

How would dual rated matches be taken care of? As both players could have the classical and quick ratings between the 400 points between each other. If some players only have their classical ratings between 400 ratings points, and one or both do not have a quick rating, or one or both only have a provisional quick rating, or more then 400 points – how would the quick be taken care of? If the quick cannot be ratable, would it place a hold on the match, or have the classical rating rated and the quick rejected, or reject both?

When you enter a match online, it will be treated like a two player swiss, so that you will enter the results of each game rather than just the total score.

There’s probably still a 20 round limit, but that will go away at some point, to be replaced by a 99 round limit.
