I rarely pip into these RIP threads when someone dies, but I always thought Pal Benko was an inspiration for endgame studies.
I’m pretty good at chess nowadays, but I’ve never been able to get around to seriously studying the endgame, but if I ever do, I’ll be sure to solve plenty of Pal Benko’s studies.
