Hello,
When I registered my son for the tournament the was an option to purchase a photo package. I took advantage of this option and my son is telling me that there was a photographer at the tournament hall making pictures during the games, although he doesn’t recall if he was specifically targeted.
I am trying to find out when those pictures (if made) are going to be available for download.
Please help!

The photographer goes through the event and takes pictures of every player when they are on game. Your child probably did not notice the picture being taken at all.

MyChessPhotos.com is attempting to take a photo of every player but player’s that have not pre-paid for a digital photo package may not have their photo taken.
No refunds for received digital photo packages, refunds will be given in the form of a photo credit towards a future purchase

What if the parent or the child does not want the child’s picture taken? Do they have a right not to be photographed if they have not given express permission to be photographed?
You should direct that question to the national events staff.

Film, video, and/or photographic recording is occurring during SuperNational VI. During
the course of this event, cameras will be taking photographs and filming and/or videotaping
for US Chess and/or media outlets invited by US Chess. Your participation in this
event and continued presence during the filming constitutes your consent to your image
being used in all media worldwide in perpetuity. If you object to your image being used in
this manner, please make yourself known to the event’s organizers and production team.
Approved production or media crews and/or photographers will be wearing press passes
from the Gaylord Opryland and/or US Chess.
In addition, it has been confirmed to me that only those players for whom payment has been received were photographed.
