It is easy to create good looking web sites that are functional. However I suggest you have some computer savvy. I work in IT many years (too long )
I am not affiliate with google in any shape or fashion. I am sure there are competing products out there. Some for pay no doubt will give you more features.
I am including some sites that I have developed fairly quickly. Note that none of them are “approved yet”. They are meant to be test of concept ideas right now.
The Web Calendar is updated through a Google Calendar. Images, presentations and Video are available. Maps as well.

I think this will help our club (MCC) out. We didn’t really have a web site but now we might have one very soon. The Community Calendar will likely be very helpful, in particular (since we have such atomize Chess activity in our Community).
I think you can do forums (or groups) but may God have mercy on your soul if you do. However you might need to. I suspect the Montgomery Bridge Club might benefit from it.
