Seemingly simple question that I can’t find the answer for. What does the ‘P’ + number mean when looking at a rating in a tournament report?
Examples:
(pre-> post)
1567P6 ->1571P10
Unrated-> 788P4
190P8 → 210P12

It means the rating is still provisional, and the number after the “p” shows how many rated games the player has in that category. It takes 26 rated games before a rating becomes “established.” The provisional ratings formula is a bit more volatile than the established one.
