Thanks for the official word, doug.
What about a certification between club and local, if the club does pass the test with a passing local grade. If the club director does take the test with an eighty percent or better on the test, but does not have the experience requirements for local. This would give a reason for the club director to study the test, than just take the test. The certification would be a step up from club, but the small pool of directors in this type of certification would be limited. As it is limited with the small amount of directors without experience. The certification would be a better way for the office to keep a better track on this type of certification. When the director does have the experience requirements, the director will become a local director.
The new certification would be a bonus for the organizers. If looking for an assistant director, would be more willing to pick a director with this certification than a club director. If the club director is lacking one of the main requirements, the majority of the time the director is lacking the entries than the three tournaments. There is no problem to help a fellow director on my part.
The name of the certification, or the term limit of the certification: would be up to the TDCC and the powers that can authorize the certification. As it stands at this time, the club director can sign a statement to become a club director for the first term. If the director wants a second term, the director is forced to take a test. If the director takes the local test and pass, the director should earn some type of certification above club but below local. If the director does not pass the test, but pass the test to stay as a club. The director should have the right to take the test again.
