Hal, in the absence of a design document or documentation, how was someone like Bill Hall, Phil Smith or myself supposed to know that the design feature to which you alluded existed or had even been contemplated?
Bill Hall would know from discussion. You and Phil would not know, most likely due to not having been tasked to be involved in such discussion. But this is a part of the larger issue of how USCF’s web site can be further developed to provide more value to members and in support of the organization’s mission, and there has been lots of discussion here and there in these forums - by me and by others - about such things.
The fact that I specifically mention one single thing that is possible as a result of a flexible design is, in my way of thinking, a basis for discussing the idea. No one ever requested a catalog of all things which are possible. ![]()
It’s called institutional knowledge. And of course, one way small organizations get in a lot of trouble is when that knowledge walks out the door.
