Anecdote from unreliable memory: Björk and Bobby Fischer did meet once in Iceland. Fischer wanted to talk about soul music, but Björk said something dismissive on the order of “soul is dead.” (I think the story was in New in Chess, perhaps in the Fischer memorial issue.)
I knew from that same source that Fischer had met Patti Smith. Smith writes about the meeting in her new book.
