Returning to tourney play after a long, long hiatus. Any problem with my using Descriptive Notation? When i first saw the algebraic notation was never thrilled with it and genuinely prefer descriptive. On my own score sheet would this present any problem as long as it was done correctly? Would I lose any rights?

There might be an issue with FIDE events, but if there is then it’s likely that somebody knowledgeable about that would say something.

Maybe one of these years I’ll switch towards algebraic and away from the descriptive I’ve been using for the last three and a half decades.
