Tournament with wrong date

When submitting our tournament today (November 24), we by accident entered the date November 20

This is the tournament in question US Chess . Would it be possible for someone to adjust the date to the right one

Changes to rated events still need to go to ratingsmgr@uschess.org

One day we may allow some TDs to enter their own changes, subject to office approval.

I contacted Korey and he fixed the date by creating a new tournament.

So now we have a new tournament which replaced the old one, but the gain or the loss of rating from the first tournament is still there. In other words: people are gaining or losing rating twice. One example: US Chess Should we assume that this issue will be fixed with the rerate?

At this point it will take another rerate to correct that, and that correction will most likely not be part of the December rating list. At some point you have to draw the line and say, anything new will be taken care of in the next supplement.

No rush. I just wanted to make sure that it will be fixed eventually

Happy Thanksgiving, Mike! And thank you for all the work you are doing

Did a rerate happen sometime in the past 8 days. I ask because the problem remains for pretty much every participant of that tournament

There has not been another rerate yet this week.

However, I only see the event dated the 20th, I’ll have to check with Korey in the morning to see what’s going on.

The original tournament which was submitted with the wrong date (the tournament took place on11.24) got deleted. It was replaced by the tournament you see now US Chess

However, the rating effects of the deleted tournament remain. This is why this player US Chess has the tournament on 11.20 where his rating goes 1693–>1732. For his next tournament on 11.24, his rating goes 1653–>1581. 1653 becomes his base. It happens because in the deleted tournament his rating went 1732–>1653. This is true for most of the participants of the deleted tournament. Their rating gets affected twice

It seems that the ID number of the deleted tournament in the original post was given to a different tournament (by Treme Chess Club). Which added to your confusion. Ignore that link. It is irrelevant now

Ah, OK. I suspect we still need to run a rerate to fix that, I’ll see if they plan to run one this week.

Thanks, Mike! Please let me know so that I know what to tell the parents

A rerate did not get run this week, hopefully we’ll be back on the regular Tuesday schedule by next week.
