How come, after so many lines, it becomes all but impossible to type anymore since the page keeps jumping around and doesn’t seem to want to allow anymore than X number of lines in a post?
I have to use notepad to write a post, then copy/paste into the forum box to do anything long.
God’s way of telling you that you need to trim?
It doesn’t take very long for a post to be “too long”.
I’ve had this happen before also. But it has been quite awhile. It only seemed to happen on certain computers. I used the same Notepad cut and paste trick. If memory serves it only happened with replies. It really hasn’t happened in quite awhile.
Even if the problem doesn’t occur, it’s still a good idea to use a text editor to generate long posts, then cut and paste. Also, save your text every so often, to avoid disasters like wiping out the entire post by mistake.

Same happens to me. Maybe has to do with Windows 7 and/or most current IE; maybe not.
