If you are a procrastinator like me, now is a good time to reserve your room. I had to switch rooms at the Arizona Biltmore to get the chess rate for Aug 1 & 2. You might want to call the Biltmore directly at 602-955-6600; I did not have much luck with Hilton reservations, as is often the case.
The last time the US Open was at the Biltmore I went just for the delegates meeting. I made the mistake of staying at a different hotel nearby and walking to the Biltmore. The Biltmore has a mile long drive, so don’t walk it unless you have plenty of water handy. August in Arizona is not known for its cool weather.
