US Amateur Team and Bughouse

I noticed that all 4 of the Team tournaments had a Blitz side event, but I did not see a bughouse side event at any of them. As we are talking about a team event I would think it might be natural to have a bughouse [two person team] side event. I personally am not a big fan of bughouse, but I do understand that it has always been popular with the younger crowd [often a side event at the scholastic National events]. Has anyone [i.e. the various organizers] looked into to seeing if such a side event would be desired by the players?

Warning Crazy Larry idea: What about having a “bughouse team” side event? By “bughouse team” I mean a “team” of 4 players fixed into 2 bughouse players [i.e. typical 2 person bug team] with the combined scores added up to determine the winner of the “bughouse team” side event.

I can’t speak for the other Amateur Team events, but the World Amateur Team/US Amateur Team East has a bughouse event on Sunday night and has had it for the last 10-11 years.

Back in the day, the Crazy-houses (a.k.a. State Hospitals, Insane Asylums, etc.) were known as the Bughouse, for buggy folk.
