We are seeing load spikes on MSA

I couldn’t get to the MSA web page at about 10:15 this morning, when I got logged in to the server to check on it, the server load was at 80. It normally is seldom above 5. I had to shut the web server down for a few minutes to free up the logjam, and I’m watching it for further load spikes.

Haven’t finished looking at the logs yet, probably just a lot of sites pulling a lot of data via webscraping, which is something that should go through an API on Leago with API keys so we can monitor who’s causing load peaks.

Not sure what the network design will be for accessing Leago, we may need to spread the load around, with API access possibly being through a separate IP address with different rate limits.

Put the worker on Cloudflare. That will fix the problem. The problem is they do not know how to do it ,or they do not believe it, or they just think that the problem will GO AWAY by itself. Asking that web scraper will go to new route is harder routing. Can you imagine for 20+ years how many link system uses MSA? If US chess like to bend/bow to the legacy system and make new system backward compatible … that will make everyone comfortable.
