Where can I post an unusual position I have encountered and seek insight and suggestions from others with more experience? The uschess.org forums don’t really seem to have an appropriate place for that. Suggestions are appreciated as to what sites/forums you think would be best.

This, the All Things Chess forum, would be an appropriate place for your post. Facebook is another possibility.
Please note that if it is a position from a current CC game this would constitute cheating.

Not everyone uses Facebook.
You can post it right here, in All Things – as long as (as relyea has pointed out) it’s not an active position from a game you’re playing, which would be cheating).
