My apologies if this is a wrong place to ask this question.
I am trying to find a valid game file or files from the invitationals. There are links to broadcasted games available on uschess.live, but if you download those, those files are empty or contain just headings without actual moves.
I have specific interest to round 6 of invitationals since my game vs IM Ronald Burnett was broadcasted and I am trying to reconstruct last 8 moves of this game. I have my scoresheet available, but I seem to have messed notation at the end.
No guarantees, but on the following page there is a link to live games. At the very bottom there are links to pgn files for each round from the invitationals. Since I doubt anyone typed in game scores, I’m guessing these will be from the broadcast games so the game you’re after might be in there.
If that fails, I can contact Ron for you and see if he can provide those missing moves.
This thread was called to my attention this morning.
All games broadcast from the US Open are saved on a laptop that is dedicated to the DGT boards. That laptop is at US Chess headquarters. And it does appear that rounds 4-6 from the invitationals only have PGN shells linked at uschess.live.
Once the games are retrieved from the laptop, the missing scores will be put online. My next trip to Crossville is scheduled for three weeks from now, so it will be dealt with at that time.
Take the last train to Crossville
And I’ll meet you at the station
You can be there by four-thirty
'Cause I’ve made your reservation, don’t be slow
Oh, no, no, no
Oh, no, no, no
I had other time sensitive matters that prevented me from dealing with this while I was in Crossville. It will still happen, but it will likely involve having the machine shipped to me.
