I have a Heitman clock that just came recently. One of the two clock mechanisms was wound completely tight. I got it going and let it run until it wound down completely and stopped ticking. That took about 50 hours. Just out of curiosity, has anyone tested the duration of any other analogue chess clocks?
While we’re at it, can anybody tell us which color Model T Ford had the best gas mileage?

Black ones, of course. But if you got a repaint by Earl “I’ll paint any car any color for $29.95” Schieb the mileage goes up immediately…less drag with more modern paint.
As I recall, that price worked its way up from $29.95 to $119.95 in increments of $10.00 by the time Earl Scheib passed away.

The last commercial I saw had a price of $49.95, but the jingle that has always stuck in my mind is the kick off one of $29.95. One of our neighbors had his car painted by Earl. The pain was pretty much flaking off within six months.

I’m pretty sure it got up to at least $89.95 at some point. Not absolutely sure beyond that.

Here’s one for $99.95
