If Borislav Ivanov tries to play major tournaments in the united states should we allow him to play ?
Good Question. Mr. Ivanov has not cheated in any USCF tournament so he should be allowed to donate his fee to some tournament director if he wished. I doubt if he has a USCF rating so I guess a couple of hundred points added to his lofty FIDE rating ought to alleviate any concerns from “class” players about his chances of “stealing” their rightful prize. As for FIDE rated events in the United States, If FIDE has placed any sanctions on Mr. Ivanov it is incumbent on the directors of FIDE tournaments to recognize the FIDE sanction.
