It is a new year, and many people will join the chess community. I am looking forward to organizing some new tournaments in Columbus this year and playing in my favorite tournament, Amateur Team East. What are you looking forward to in chess in 2023 ?
Learning a new opening to help me survive faster time controls. Going to the US Open as a Delegate–I have missed a couple recently.
I missed the delegates meeting in 2022 due to the conflict with the FIDE GA. No such conflict this year.
It has been a long time goal of mine to compete in tournaments in all 50 States. I am at 37 right now, and am hoping to add 2 or 3 more States.
