The New York Times review of John Travolta’s new movie From Paris With Love includes this line: “Late in the movie he is also revealed as a killer at the chessboard, as is Reese.” If anyone goes to see this, let us know if the chess scene is anything more than standard Hollywood cliche.
Chess is not a theme in Bill Murray’s “Groundhog Day”. However, it always struck me that Bill was waking up, playing the same starting position every day. By the end of the movie, he had mastered the position…kinda like chess!
