Plans are to edit the footage of several rehearsals into a “Chess Song” DVD that she hopes to have aired on public accesss TV sometime this Spring.

Her concept: There would be dozens of kids dressed as pawns, bishops, knights and rooks. They would be dancing, up, down and diagonally on a giant checkered stage. And there would be music – e.g., Aretha Franklin’s “Respect” – but with different lyrics.
