How about creating a new forum to handle all things Not About Chess? Would cut down trying to weed through the other forums for the chess-relevant remarks.

I think if there was a ‘off topic’ forum it would be the most popular forum here and drive page views way up.
People seem to like to come into a forum under an umbrella issue and then discuss wide range of issues that have nothing at all to do with the main course being offered by a site. I think it does more to help promote sense of community while also reducing ‘off topic’ posts and threads in the other ‘more serious’ forums.
Make it for USCF Members Only so we don’t scare off potential members who are browsing our site.
There’s a great ‘off topic’ forum, it’s called the REST OF THE INTERNET!
