In general I’ve found that having the TD do the follow-up is more effective than a post in the forums, especially if the TD was a little slow in sending in the correction. This month the third Wednesday is on the 21st so there is more time than usual on getting the corrections done prior to the next month’s supplement being created.
Korey was out this week per Mike so things may be a little slower than usual; I noticed a correction sent Tuesday morning hasn’t been responded to yet, for exampl.
Ratings is still a little understaffed since Bryon Doyle left, I don’t think they’re planning on replacing him right away, either.
The process for making a correction on MUIR has more steps than it did on the last system, you have to clone the event, make the correction, validate it, then release it for rating, at which point it is rated, though it still takes a rerate to get the ratings flow right. This means all corrections have to pass validation, which is a needed improvement over the last system.
Currently that’s for any type of correction, even those that have no impact on ratings, like changing the event name, location or a TD. A way to make corrections to data that doesn’t affect ratings is on the development list.
now fixed and resolved, thanks all for the information.
Good explanation Mike, thanks!
I assume the original event is removed after the clone is rated? Or when the clone is created, submitted, validated or released for rating?
Not sure of the mechanics or timing, but the original is archived so there cannot be two active events with the same ID.
