Peace be with you,

Is/Are there going to be a playoff game or playoff games if there is a tie for first place in points?

Typically, no. We have used the default tie breakers for the plaque and split the money in the past.

So, you will have only one 1st Place winner on the plaque each season?

In 59 years of the City Champ and Quick Champ, there has never been a co-champion. However, last year the Speed Champ had 2 winners when Paul Anderson and Lawrence Scafuri became the first co-champions after Magnus Carlsen and Ian Nepomniachtchi set the precedent by sharing the 2024 FIDE World Blitz Championship! Never say never.
