I’ve been watching a series of videos on youtube about the evolution of chess style, made by Kingscrusher (http://www.youtube.com/user/kingscrusher). The series is in progress, and new videos in the series are posted somewhat randomly. But there are 60 or so videos already made that can be viewed.
The quality of the videos is variable, and in particular the videos on Greco were somewhat sketchy, but the quality improves as the series goes on. I found them all to be entertaining, and many were fascinating. Kingscrusher has an infectious enthusiasm for all things chess, and it comes through in these videos.
Anyway, if you want to check them out, you can follow the link above to Kingscrusher’s youtube page, and in the column on the left, under his profile, there are links to pages he created on different topics. The evolution of style link is near the top, and on that page are links to the videos, along with some information about them.
I’m not associated with Kingscrusher in any way, I just enjoyed the videos, and I thought some of the readers of this forum might enjoy them, too.
