Anybody know how often this “FIDE Arena” is used for live rated play — over the web?
What competitions have used it?

The only live rated play (but it’s not a web interface, at least not yet) is Rapid, Blitz, and Bullet.

If you log into the Arena you’ll see Official ELO rating in the tournaments and you can set challenges that way also.

I’m not exactly sure what you mean by ‘what competitions have used it’…
