Hollywood's Chess Master

Eternity is a mere moment, just long enough for a joke.-Hermann Hesse

In his book, “The Bobby Fischer I Knew,” Arnold Denker has a chapter on chess and the old Hollywood stars who played it. From looking at the few games of Bogart’s provided, IMO he would have been about Class A strength. That was certainly far above the skill level of many of his confreres.

What was Herman Steiner’s opinion of Bogart’s chess ability? After all Steiner was really a Master who worked [not as an actor] in Hollywood.
