Due to technical issues that are preventing some events from being uploaded and rated, the cutoff for the March 2026 Supplement has been changed from today at 11:55 PM (2/18) CT to Thursday at 11:55 PM (2/19).
That means new supplement files will likely be available after mid-day on Friday rather than tomorrow.
After mid-day could be next Tuesday, when I will gladly pay you for a hamburger today.
The supplement job failed and is being rerun.
BTW, that means any recently submitted events will show as ‘queued’ rather than as ‘rated’ until after the supplement job finishes, so that we have a clean point-in-time snapshop of ratings for the supplement. (Normally this occurs overnight and is not generally noticed.)
The individual supplement records for March 2026 have been posted to member pages and the March files are available through the TD Portal at ratings.uschess.org. (The February ratings remain official until March 1st and are what will be shown in the large boxes on a member page.)
BTW, updated February files have also been posted, about 1000 members with ID’s below about 12260000 did not get a supplement record for February due to a programming issue. If you are running an event in February, you may want to download a new set of files.
These have been around since before I got involved in the ratings system.
It isn’t possible under the current ratings formula and the programming that was in effect from 2005 on, both the legacy programming that I wrote and the MUIR programming. I don’t know if it was possible under the ratings formula and programming that was in effect before late 1991.
These events are not reratable so they’ve never really been looked at.
There appear to be 410 such records involving 333 different IDs.
