They were included in the prior MSA listings; was there a deliberate decision made to exclude any non-USA flagged members (Nelson Fernandez is flagged HON and Charles Campbell is flagged NGR) from the new listings regardless of current residence and state with US Chess, or is this something I should report?
To be honest, there are so many different things happening that I just don’t remember what the criteria we gave Leago for ranking was, so I’ve created a support ticket from your post.
Have you heard anything on this one? It still seems to be happening, along with some other weirdness such as the missing Jude Acers, Jim Rousselle, Edward Williams, etc. entries.
Rankings aren’t quite working yet, Leago just got updated instructions for them on Friday morning, I don’t know when they’ll have that implemented, hopefully in the next week or two.
The new rules are pretty close to the old ones, player must be current or recent US Chess members (back about 3 months), and they must have activity(ie, OTB regular games played) in the last 12 months. FIDE country status is ignored, but the member cannot be deceased, inactive, a duplicate ID or suspended.
Junior and Senior rankings are apparently out of scope for the initial launch, I don’t know how soon they’ll be available. That question is above my pay grade.
Is there some control point where a player gets opted out of/in to age related rankings/lists?
I do know of some kids parents who won’t even give home address to USCF (coaches address used??) – tough not to give birthday but makes sense to limit it’s use.
