One game per day events

Are there any single game per day events in this country other than the US Open? (I’m not including club events where it’s like 1 game per week, etc.).

At my age (72) and being retired, I’ve got the time for longer events but lack the mental stamina to play my best in strong tournaments with two to three games per day.

I’ve been playing in the Reykjavik Open the last five years, and Canada’s Grand Pacific Open (which is always 1 game Friday, 2 Saturday, 2 Sunday, 1 Monday, HPB allowed) for the last ten. Unfortunately, the US Open often comes at a time where I have other commitments.

I know it doesn’t answer your question, but check out the FQE. The Pere Noel in Montreal is one game per evening, and the Quebec Open (also in Montreal this year) is 1-2-1-1-1-1-1.

Canada is close enough. Thanks.

And they haven’t started building a wall yet to keep us out…
Good value for the US $ too.

There is also the annual Canadian Open. Similar to our US Open. You can find this on the Canadian chess web site, and on the FIDE web site as well. You also might want to look into the Gibraltar Open tournament. There 1 game a day 5-ss side events players U2200 FIDE rated. London to Gibraltar isn’t a long or bad flight.

Looks like fun. If they hold it next Summer in Montreal, I’ll likely play. My aunt lives in Westmount. Would be a nice week long visit.
