I know it is possible to turn off a player’s chat during a game on many site. What I would like to know [as a non-paying member] is how do I forward notes or messages to the administrators of the chess.com web site? I recently received a “note” from an opponent calling me a “JERK” for not accepting a draw when I was up on time, and eventually up a pawn. If you play 5-0 time control chess, then flagging is part of the game. I have never sent anything like this to anyone. I am disappointed in the opponent, and I would like Chess.com to watch out for this person in order to avoid repeats of this behavior towards other opponents. There is the post game reply on Chess.com about if you thought your opponent was a fair sport. That should have been enough without the need to send a note calling anyone a jerk.
I recall on another site where my opponent accused me [in the chat during the game] of using a computer, as I was able to quickly real off 20 plus moves in an opening I have played for over 30 years. I will admit that after I blundered I was unable to resist asking that opponent if he thought my computer was doing good. Obviously you can turn off the chat [I have never done so] during a game, but what about the post game comments via messages and notes. Do the various web sites have policies regarding such communications?
I am sure that most players are like me and would prefer to keep the online playing community on a friendly basis.
