I just went to order SwissSys and it’s asking me to choose:
1. TDSUPER-SWISS
2. TDSUPER-WINPC
3-TDSUPER-WINMAC
Since I have a PC, I’m guessing I should choose #2, is that correct?
Do you know what #1 is?
I also understand that there are additional options outside of SwissSys or WINTD today. However these are onetime payment options, correct?
I wouldn’t have to keep paying forever with SwissSys, correct?
I’m trying to keep budget tight at this time till we have more budget in the future.
I don’t know their pricing structure
Currently, Swiss-Sys and WinTD are pairing programs installed on your PC and are not Web based (subscription) to do the pairings. They charge you when you first buy and you get minor updates, bug fixes for free, but there will be a day (1-8 years from now) where there will be a major update and you would have to pay usually around 30-50% of full price to continue to get updates or to get support. There are quite a few folks that still use older versions of the programs. These are very mature apps and the bugs they fix seldom impact any commonly used features by someone like yourself, so that is why folks can get away with using them past their non-support date. Of course their business models or pricing may change tomorrow.
