I have a recent event where a few players had games in an “Extra Games” section. Haven’t noticed this before, but the “pre” rating for players was the same in the initial rating report. So for a 1700 that did well in one section and poorly in the other it’s showing something like 1700→1750 in one, and 1700→1650 in the other. I’m sure this is simple, but couldn’t find it in a search…
1 - Are sections rated in any specific order, so results from one section would flow into the next for players in multiple sections. If so is this just a “normal” rerate for chronological order? (hopefully, this is easiest and seems best…)
2 - If not, what would the right way to submit this event be? Can’t imagine a separate event for just a few ad-hoc games is the right answer, but I’ve been wrong before…
3 - Is this an artifact new to the MUIR system, or how it’s always been?
