Many thanks to the organizers of this event, Frank and Jim Berry, and the Oklahoma Chess
Foundation who once again offered a simply wonderful chess experience. The playing area,
particuraly with the added touch of the Oklahoma and Texas flags was magnificient. I know
all of us from Texas look to return to Davis, and the Treasure Valley Casino for RRSO VIII.
I know players from the four clubs from North Texas, the Dallas Chess Club, the Denton
Chess Club, Lewisville Chess Club, and the Tarrant County Chess Club truly enjoyed the
opportunity at one on one match play with a like rated opponent. I for one treasure
the memory and the opportunity to meet so many chess enthusiasts from Oklahoma-
in the hopes that perhaps we can lure some of them to our events in Texas.
