What is the average turnaround time the submission f the rd exam and notification of the results?
What’s an ‘RD’?
Sorry it should read td(tournament director)
The US Open tied up the time of a lot of people. e-mailed certification requests or test grades go faster than US Mail.
Initial CTD certification is usually fairly quick. It may be updated on your MSA page before you receive any notification.

CTD, LTD and SrTD tests are multiple choice and graded fairly quickly by the office. ANTD and NTD tests are essay tests and take significantly longer to grade.
Also, once you pass the CTD, LTD, SrTD and ANTD tests, you can remain at that level (without taking another test) as long as you remain a member and as long as you average directing at least one rated tournament per year during the term for which your certification was attained/renewed (some LTDs or SrTDs have been at that level for decades because they are fine with being at that level and some may also be disinclined to want to bother taking any more tests). NTD does not have the activity requirement (just the membership requirement) but most NTDs do show as directing at least one rated tournament per year and the ones who don’t have either stopped directing or they do still direct tournaments but don’t go to the bother of having themselves actually listed on staff.
For roughly the last decade or so you need to have an established regular rating before taking a test for LTD or higher.
Dave, you may want to contact the office, if you submitted it via email it might have gotten lost.
a shout out to Pete K and the office who has been doing an outstanding job in the certification process.
thank you,
