Thank You To These Active TDs

Growth of USCF, and therefore, quality chess opportunities depends on the sacrifices and efforts
of tournament directors and organizers truly devoted to chess. And to those, it is time to simply
say–thank you. And this is the topic of this thread–simply stating, job well done. USCF lists
TD activity in two areas-- tournaments and sections directed as Chief TD. States will be listed
in alphabetical order. Activity is listed for the prior 12 months.

in your previous post on this thread you have Steele Langland as having the most sections directed in California, but you left him off the top 10 list?

Does it concern anyone else that there are only 50 on the list, including DC?

Looks like he missed Delaware. I’m also not clear how the state was determined, based on where the TD lives or where the TD directed events? TDs could easily direct events in multiple states.

Good point, They are listed purely where they live. Of course some may direct in multiple states. This was merely
an attempt to show some “love” for some of those keeping USCF going.

Delaware-- Harold Dean Miller leads in both tournaments run and sections. And actually, he is one of the very
few USCF tournament directors residing in Delaware who are active. So a loud round of applause for Mr. Miller
